The day has arrived. Tonight we will celebrate our three amazing authors, finalists Keeana Yamahtta and Tiffany Lethabo King, and our winner, Dr. Jelani Favors.

Join us as we take a deeper dive into Dr. Favor’s book, “Shelter in a Time of Storm” that explores the history of HBCUs from 1837 to the present as vital seedbeds for politicians, community leaders, reformers, and activists while grounding students in idealist, racial consciousness, and cultural nationalism.
