Ninety Four Books!

We’ve received 94 books this year for the 2021 MAAH Stone Book Award (that’s 40 than last year)!

And once again, the collection of scholarly non-fiction books explores the diverse facets and long arc of the African American experience. There are books that will madden you, gladden you, inform or confound you, amuse you or provoke you. All of them will inspire.

Starting on June 1st, we'll highlight the submissions on social media, shining a spotlight on each individual work and author. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook to celebrate Black History this way every day.
